“I’ve always loved architecture and LEGO. LEGO bricks guided me toward a career in architecture and opened my perspective on the interaction between play and children. What I love about LEGO is that it is not a toy. It is a design tool that gives form to the future and continues to give form in that future by empowering both children and adults to build their own worlds, and then inhabit that world through play, and invite friends to join in co-creating and cohabiting those world. This makes it a powerful tool for fostering creativity and collaboration. Therefore, I believe that it would be a high standard to form a strong concept of “Sustainability in Play & Learn with Bricks of Intelligence” for future generations,” said BOI_Design | Formgiver | Concept Model Designer
BOI Design Studio, a family studio, was founded in 2015. It is based on giving form to the design for “Sustainability in Play & Learn with Bricks of Intelligence.” We specialize in the design and development of architectural models such as skylines, specific modular buildings, tiny houses, towers, and micro-urban cities, as well as other customized models related to culture, retro, art, and diversity in themes. Our latest transformation is the BOI_PCD: Bricks of Intelligence for Play, Collaboration, and Design.
We love to rebuild everything in the world with LEGO bricks. The models would be more creative and fun to tell people about interesting stories, or cultural knowledge in architecture and daily life, especially innovative architecture. There are some projects available for free download with PDF versions on BEHANCE

In Sep. 2022, BOI_Design was successful in giving the form to sustainable architecture with LEGO Bricks "Celebrate World Architecture Day & LEGO House" for the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group. He earned the "Winner Prize" and displayed his MOC model at LEGO House in Billund, Denmark (2022-2023).
After that, at the end of 2023, LEGO Group transferred his MOC model from LEGO House to Legoland Gallery at LEGOLAND® Billund Resort, Denmark to extend the exhibition until Dec. 2024.

We also work on the presentations for sustainable architecture projects: “Giving Ideas to Sustainable Architecture in the Future.”

Bricks of Intelligence for Play, Collaboration, & Design. (BOI_PCD)
1. Play
- Encourage Creativity and Imagination:
Unstructured Play: Provide opportunities for free-form play where children and adults can use LEGO bricks to build whatever comes to mind. This stimulates creativity and imagination.
Thematic Play: Use themed LEGO sets to inspire stories and scenarios, helping users to expand their creative thinking within certain contexts.
- Educational Play:
STEAM Learning: Integrate LEGO sets that promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education. This can help users learn complex concepts through hands-on experience.
Problem-Solving: Use LEGO puzzles and challenges to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. (LEGO serious play)
2. Collaboration
- Team Building Activities:
Group Projects: Encourage group projects where multiple people work together to build large structures. This fosters teamwork and communication skills.
Cooperative Play: Design activities where each participant has a specific role in the building process, promoting collaboration and shared goals.
- Community Engagement:
LEGO Clubs and Workshops: Establish clubs or workshops where LEGO enthusiasts can come together, share ideas, and work on projects collectively.
Online Communities: Participate in online LEGO communities to exchange ideas, showcase creations, and collaborate on virtual projects.
3. Design
- Encourage Design Thinking:
Plan and Build: Teach users to plan their designs before building. This includes sketching ideas, considering structural integrity, and problem-solving during the construction phase.
Iterative Process: Promote the idea that design is an iterative process. Encourage users to build, test, and redesign their structures to improve and refine their creations.
- Architectural Concepts:
Scale and Proportion: Educate about scale, proportion, and balance using LEGO bricks. This can help users tangibly understand these important design principles.
Sustainability: Integrate lessons on sustainable design, such as creating energy-efficient buildings or using eco-friendly materials in their LEGO constructions.
- Innovation and Experimentation:
New Techniques: Encourage experimentation with different building techniques and styles. This helps users discover new ways to use LEGO bricks creatively.
Custom Creations: Support the creation of custom LEGO pieces and designs, allowing for unique and personalized builds.
